As part of the MİRA Project, led by Ibn Haldun University and supported by TÜBİTAK, the second round of group therapy sessions for individuals who lost loved ones in the February 6 earthquakes was held in Adıyaman.
During the three-week sessions held from May 4 to May 21, participants shared their experiences regarding the psychological, social, and daily life challenges they faced following the loss, guided by experts. The group sessions addressed the grieving process, coping strategies for loss, emotional difficulties, and the need for social support.
The MİRA Project aims to provide psychosocial support to individuals who have lost a loved one in the earthquake and to strengthen participants’ resilience during this process. The second phase of group therapy sessions conducted in Adıyaman was completed as a key component of the project’s on-the-ground support activities.
