Online group sessions have started as part of the MIRA Project, which is carried out by Ibn Haldun University and supported by TÜBİTAK for individuals who lost relatives in the February 6 earthquakes.
Following the face-to-face group sessions held in Adıyaman and Gaziantep, new online support groups have been launched in response to demand and are now open to participants from across Türkiye. Through these group sessions, participants are expected to share their experiences regarding the psychological, social, and daily life difficulties they face after loss, under the guidance of specialists.
The online groups will continue throughout June, July, and August. The sessions will address the grief process, coping with loss, emotional difficulties, and social support needs. In this way, the project aims to make its free psychosocial support service accessible to individuals who are unable to attend face-to-face sessions.
Applications remain open for individuals who lost a loved one in the earthquake and would like to receive support regarding the difficulties they have experienced after their loss.
