Following the completion of the in-person and online group sessions conducted as part of the MIRA Project, led by Ibn Haldun University and supported by TÜBİTAK, preparations have begun for a training program aimed at transferring the project’s outcomes to mental health professionals.

The findings obtained from the group interventions conducted with individuals who lost loved ones in the February 6 earthquakes are currently being comprehensively evaluated by the project team. This process aims to examine the effects of the intervention program on participants’ grieving processes and psychological well-being, as well as to establish the project findings on a scientific basis. Drawing on the knowledge and experience gained through this process, a training program for therapists working in the field of grief is planned. Through this training, the approach developed within the MIRA Project and the practical experience gained during its implementation will be shared with professionals working in the field.

The program is expected to contribute to enhancing the quality of psychological support provided to individuals experiencing grief and to strengthening the knowledge and skills of mental health professionals working in this area. The content of the training will be developed based on the practical experience and scientific findings derived from the group interventions conducted within the scope of the project.

Work is also ongoing to evaluate the research results and key findings obtained through the MIRA Project. Once these evaluations are completed, the project findings are expected to be shared with the public and to contribute to ongoing work in the fields of post-disaster grief and psychosocial support.

Following the completion of the group sessions, the MIRA Project continues its efforts to transfer the experience gained through implementation to mental health professionals and to develop a training program for therapists working in the field of grief.
